Champion VP/PowerMaster pilot, Jason Danhakl, was THE force to be reckoned with at this year’s prestigious XFC Air Race World-level event. Fueled with VP/SEF 50:1 premix race gas, Jason’s machines performed flawlessly giving him the power, performance and edge he needed to win the 50cc class.
Jason also put in extremely fast runs in the 100cc class, with just barely clipping the second to last gate in the final run to finish second due to the 5-second penalty.
IN HIS OWN WORDS…
"There was no question that both of my airplanes had superior engine performance over the competition. The newer generation of Desert Aircraft engines (60 and 120cc) has a notable performance increase using SEF 50:1 vs. pump fuel. This is across the board on performance not just wide-open. I had without question a distinct advantage over the competition in the 50cc class. Not having to fly the course as tight really helped and kept the gate infractions to a minimum.
In the 100cc class, I TQ'd the qualifier and won the first two rounds. Going into the final round I had a 1.0 second lead. The last lap and second to last gate I misaligned the gate and went right over the top. That is a 5.0 second penalty. Gave the sucker away in the last 10 seconds of racing. I was in it to win it but that did not happen.
Pump Fuel Failure Report:
There were three competitors with zero flights due to engine flame outs and one that lunched the engine. All could have been prevented using VP/PowerMaster SEF pre-mixed fuel.
Thanks to VP/PowerMaster SEF, this is the first world level event I've gone to and actually had a chance to win. I can't tell you how much fun it was." - Jason Danhakl
