PowerMaster finds the podium twice at Round 1 of the Georgia State Series held at “The Wasteland” track, just outside of Atlanta, GA. Factory Team PowerMaster driver, Mike Battaile, wheeled his Mugen 1/8-scale buggy and truggy to two strong podium finishes respectively at the first GA state race of the year.
Mike took control of the 1/8 truck class in qualifying with his Mugen MBX6T truck by TQ’ing ALL three rounds, but bad luck would strike in the 1/8 Truck A-Final as relentless traffic made it hard to put in clean laps. Mike battled his way back to the leaders several times during the 30-minute final, ultimately finding himself within 10 seconds at the end, finishing in third.
Mike’s Mugen MBX6 was running strong all weekend at the top of the buggy field and even TQ’ing round three of qualifying. Mike took an early lead for the first half of the 30-minute final, but then found himself in a three-way battle for the lead. After an intense fight to hang on, he managed to lock in third place finish with a solid podium spot.
We used PowerMaster 30% fuel and it ran flawlessly all weekend with no flameouts or issues to speak of. We had a great time at the Georgia State Series opener meeting all the regional racers from the area and handing out our promotional fuel. All who tried it was very pleased that they did. Easy to tune and longer run times were a popular a response from the drivers who gave it a shot during the weekend of racing. VP Racing Fuels/ PowerMaster are proud to be a sponsor of the Georgia State Series.
